Travel
Traveling, whether to work or overseas, is often hard on the environment leading to carbon emissions, pollution, and waste from single-use items. Here are some ways to minimize your environmental impact while exploring the world.
-Keep a reusable food kit in your car or your luggage. Items may include:
-a metal or silicone straw (some are foldable with a case and cleaning brush)
-a glass or plastic container for leftovers (can reuse glass jars)
-metal or bamboo utensils
-cloth napkin
-reusable coffee cup
-refillable water bottle

-Try to avoid fast food as much as possible to eliminate paper and plastic waste.

-Keep a small, foldable reusable bags on hand for grocery trips. Making your own food, if you have access to a kitchen, can cut down on waste and save you money.
-Create your own travel toiletry kit to save money and prevent single-use plastic waste. Some options also cut down on your liquid volume if traveling by air! Items might include:
-bar shampoo and conditioner (or homemade in reusable containers)
-bar body soap or liquid castile soap
-toothpaste tabs or homemade toothpaste
-bamboo toothbrush
-mini plastic-free deodorant
-reusable safety razor
-shave soap bar
-Packable reusable bags are great for shopping trips and grocery runs (and don't take up much space).

-Handkerchiefs are perfect if you happen to spill something or need a tissue.
